Judy was born in Houghton, Michigan to Clyde and Margaret Bice.  She was a graduate of Houghton High School in 1967. She graduated from Nursing School at St Joseph Hospital, with her RN license.    She started her career in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin Hospital where she helped establish the Intensive Care unit.

She married Dr. Romeo T. Bachand and moved to Rochester, MN. In 1973. She was the Head Nurse for the nephrology unit at the Mayo Clinic. She moved to Mundelein, IL in 1975 and spent the next five years raising two daughters Tonya and Trista.

She returned to work as the Quality Control Nurse for the Abbott Laboratories Phase one clinical trial group. At this job she was responsible for assuring the quality of drugs such as Biaxin and Humira.

She retired and moved to Granbury, Texas where she was instrumental in establishing the RONJU ranch. She was devoted to the care of her pedigree Texas Longhorns and Donkeys. Always an animal lover she was known to feed all strays and local animals. She took great pleasure in gardening and her hydroponic garden home.

She was most at home in arranging parties for fund raising events.  She was a gourmet cook and instigator in establishing a gourmet dining group. She often served unique dinners with produce from her gardens.

She was the seasonal decorator for Ruth’s Place Clinic, and the Official Sunshine Girl for Military Officers Association of America from 2015 thru 2018.

She loved the outdoors, boating, decorating and, most of all, life in general.

Judy is survived by her loving husband Dr. Romeo T. Bachand, children: Michael Parthie, Mark Parthie, Barbara Parthie, Tonya Parham, and Trista Stasiek, several grandchildren and numerous extended family members.
