Joseph Henry Alexander, age 75, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, after a year long battle with cancer.

Joseph was born in Springfield, Missouri to Norma and Joseph Alexander, Sr.  He graduated from South High Wichita High School in 1964, and he was drummer in a rock and roll and country band. On June 27, 1965, he married the love of his life, Sandra Terry. The couple went on to have two sons, Ken and David Alexander.

Joseph began his career as an aircraft mechanic and industrial draftsman in Wichita, Kansas. He relocated his family to Texas in 1974 and continued his career as an aircraft mechanic for more than 40 years at Lockheed Martin retiring in 2017. He also pursued a passion serving as a reserve police officer in Valley Center, Kansas and Hood County, Texas. He was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved.

He attended Arlington Baptist College in 1974 and finished his Bachelors of Theology degree at Landmark Baptist Seminary. His main passion in live was to serve the Lord. He lived a life well served at Oak Trail Baptist Church as a song leader, deacon, bus ministry leader, and children’s ministry.

He enjoyed a strong cup of joe, fishing, building model cars and airplanes, bowling, puzzles, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive husband, father, and grandfather. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. He had ears to listen, arms to hold, and a heart of gold. We mourn the loss and encourage any and all who knew him to remember the light he brought to this world.

He is survived by wife, Sandra Alexander, his 2 sons Ken and Brenda Alexander, and David and Wendi Alexander. Granddaughters Tiffany and husband JD Crow, Kamryn Alexander, Devan Alexander, Erin Alexander, and Nicole Hickox. Grandsons Joseph and Jacob Olson. Great granddaughters Maya and Olivia Anguiano. Future great grandson Jackson Alexander Crow. Located all in Fort Worth, TX. Sister, Sharon Thayer of Burleson, TX. Brother, Johnny Alexander of Rossville, Georgia.
