James Warren Lane, 97, of Granbury, passed away on November 20, 2018. Service: 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2018, First Baptist Church, Bedwell Chapel with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. James was born on December 5, 1920 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to John and Johnnie Mae Lane. He married Loveta Wallace on December 11, 1942 in Colgate, Oklahoma. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a farmer and rancher and repaired John Deere tractors and New Holland hay bailers. He was a Member of Masonic Lodge #796, Eastern Star Chapter 1123, Moslah Shrine, and First United Methodist Church, Gainesville. He lived in Gainesville until 2014 when he moved to Granbury to be closer to family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Loveta, four brothers, one sister, and son-in-law: Ronnie Boston.

James is survived by his daughter: Sandy Broom and husband Randy, grandchildren: Ronda Franke and husband Kevin, Jamie Young and fiancé Jose Flores, Tyler Broom and wife Laura, and Tanner Broom and wife Suzie, great-grandchildren: Kynan, McKenzie, Dylan, Lane, Bella, Brissa, Reyna, and Charlie.
