Carolyn Marie Robinson (“Nana”), 74, resident of Granbury, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 30, surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday, April 4 at Wiley Funeral Home (400 Hwy 377 East) in Granbury, Texas.
A funeral led by Pastor Wade Killough will be held at 8:30 am on Thursday, April 5 at Wiley Funeral Home, followed by a burial service at 11:00 am at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy) in Dallas, Texas. The family prefers that memorial donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Carolyn was born on June 2, 1943 in Willmar, Minnesota to Ralph Clifford and Helen (Lindquist) Johnson. She grew up on a beautiful Midwestern farm in Lake Lillian with five rambunctious, adoring brothers. After graduating from Willmar High School, she traveled to Dallas, Texas to earn her LVN, then moved to Washington where she met the love of her life, Albert Mack Robinson. They were married in Lake Lillian in 1966. Together they were stationed on Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota and Andrews AFB in Maryland. They built their first home in Supply, North Carolina in the 70s, ventured to Egypt for 18 months in the 80s, and finally settled in Granbury, Texas where Carolyn worked as a home healthcare nurse and raised two children. Carolyn was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Marshal in the Granbury Chapter from 2014 to present.
Carolyn never met a stranger, her laugh was loud and contagious, she loved her back porch, parties, pinochle, cooking and crafts, and she often muttered, “uff-da!” like her beloved Norwegian dad. We will miss her sparkling, feisty spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Mack Robinson; their children Carrie (Bryan) Robinson-Cannon and Albert Mack (Heather) Robinson Jr. (“Robbie”); her grandchildren, Aaron, Ashleigh and Avery Cannon, and Mack, Ashton and Merry Robinson; her brothers, Gene (Judy) Johnson, Ardell (Mary) Johnson, Duaine (Janice) Johnson, Wendell Johnson, and Jerome (Barb) Johnson; and her many loving nieces and nephews.
