Bravelyn Ruth Stewart went to be with the Lord our Father, while at home, the morning of January 1, 2021, after two and a half brief months on this earth.
Bravelyn was born to Kristen and Jeremy Stewart, at their home, on October 14, 2020. Her birth was every bit the miraculous family experience they had both dreamed of. Their joy was only multiplied, upon learning that their baby was a girl – having made the choice not to know the gender during the pregnancy. After so many months of anticipation, friends and family were overjoyed with the news of a beautiful, healthy baby.
Kristen and Jeremy spent many months painstakingly choosing the perfect name for their baby. After much soul searching, prayer, and loving consideration, Bravelyn Ruth was finally given her official name, when she was several days old. Kristen and Jeremy each lost a beloved grandmother in 2020. Kristen’s Nana was named Nancy Ruth Chapman, and Jeremy’s Ma was named Dorothy Ruth Stewart. Giving Bravelyn the middle name Ruth, was a tribute in honor and memory of these beloved matriarchs. The name Bravelyn is now forever a reminder for us to be brave and strong despite the unimaginable loss of our sweet girl.
Bravelyn seamlessly slid into the hearts of her four older siblings, like she had always held a spot there. Brynleigh and Sailen were so proud and excited to finally have a baby in the house. Brynleigh often joyously remarked that she just couldn’t believe she had a baby sister. Bria and Seagann also quickly developed such a special relationship with their newest sister. This is particularly significant as Seagann is admittedly “not a baby person.” The ways that each of the siblings loved and interacted with Bravelyn were touching and unique.
Bravelyn captured the hearts of family and strangers alike with her beaming smile and sparkling blue eyes. Bravelyn looked just like her mommy. Baby pictures of Kristen were often brought out to show just how strong the resemblance was. She was a very happy girl, who began smiling early and then often. She was very social and loved to just have back and forth “conversations” by smiling and cooing in response to being spoken to. Being in her presence was such pure joy, and we will continue to miss it, until we meet again in Heaven.
Bravelyn was so very loved, wanted, and cherished from her very beginning. Though our hearts are broken, we find solace knowing that she will never know anything but warmth, love, protection, and peace. We cling to The Almighty desperately during this time, knowing that he is pure love, all powerful, and will not abandon us.

I don't think I'll ever forget the image from the shore of lake Granbury while I was fishing in my boat I saw Jeremy on the bank at the park with his dog and there came Kristen and the children baby Bravelyn in her arms. Such a beautiful picture of a loving family. She will always be part of the family. I love y'all. Uncle Raymond
The professionalism, sincerity, compassion, and a real genuine need to show us comfort during this time was absolutely second to none.
